Erynn Todd Feldman and Jeremy Alter met when Jeremy was working as a Barneys New York stylist for clients including Feldman’s mother, who is Los Angeles boutique owner Stacey Todd. The two decided to collaborate and exhibit their high-low sensibilities in a shoe line featuring re-purposed vintage designer scarves. Inspired by their California roots, The Ruse wanted to start with their first love: the skate shoe. The blend of OG skate shoes and vintage designers evoked the feeling of casual luxury they were after.
